Economists say working longer to afford retirement is a risky plan, but some employees are counting on it

As Americans live longer and grow increasingly concerned about running out of money in retirement, more are turning to one key strategy to secure their financial future: delaying retirement.
According to a recent survey by insurance company F&G, around 70% of U.S. workers who haven’t yet retired have thought about postponing their retirement. Nearly half of the 2,000 adults surveyed said they fear they won’t have enough savings to retire comfortably.
